Hi
There is a thermal fuse on top of the boiler that has probably blown. It is a 184c thermal fuse. You can get them from some of the internet sites like ChrisCoffee.com, Wholelattelove.com, or 1st-line.com.

I have a mini cooper 2003 and none of my brake lights work.i thought it might be brake light switch but when i put a wire across the connector lights still wont come on. fuse ok

Have you checked for power with a multimeter at the switch ? I'm going to say the obvious....you didn't say if you checked the bulbs ?
All being well there...find the grounding spur and check that is sound and that all wiring plugs are secure and not fouled up.

My lights quit working

Hi Brandon
Use a 12v multimeter or a test light to trace fault from headlamp backwards.
Probably check across each fuse first to see if you've blown one.
OR
Check one side of the Headlamp switch for voltage first.
No volts there means no power to headlamp. then trace back.

Like all electrical troubleshooting, it's a process of elimination.
Take a piece of paper and draw a headlamp circuit.
Battery, Fuse, Switch, various connectors, and Headlight.
Use that to guide your tracing.
Good Luck

If the ALT FUSEand TAIL FUSE are good, the taillight relay may have failed. If the STOP FUSE is good, the stoplight switch may have failed.

Parking light nightmare1987 dodge dakota

Your problem could be Rust in rear lights causing bad earth or shorting in parking lights or rear lights as plug shorting so.....unplug rear lights from plug to rear lights inc No plate light, switch on if still blows unplug both parking lights ....then OK so problem in f/p/lights,,connect up Left hand side ,,,still ok then problem in R/H/Parking light ,,,but dont forget when finnished to put them all back, and numberplate light as well (they are the most troublesome light)
Have a goodday

The tail lights are still dead. Checked all the fuses (none id them as lights, or the like) and they are OK. Noticed last night that the center console inside are also out(not where the speedometer, etc...

interior lights are controlled by the fuse box in your car... your tail lights are controlled by both the fuse box inside the car and the one under the hood
