Question about Canon PIXMA iP4200 InkJet Photo Printer
I have a Canon IP4200.
My large black ink (BK5) always goes empty and causes ongoling printing issues. I have to replace it etc.
BUT I cannot seem to make the printer use the other black ink when the larger BK5 runs out.
looked in settings and help and cannot find how to make printer automatically use or default to the other black ink once the larger one runs out.
I do not want to replace large BK5, when theres perfectly good black ink in the other one remaining.
Does anyone know how to do this? I was just printing regular WORD/internet pages etc mostly.
The BK5 is for black text only. The other black ink is used for shades of black/gray together with the three basic colors in printing color photos. You cannot use it to print black text.
