mcdevito75 here, Try to shut down the computer, click Start, then shut down. Or you can also try the crtl key and alt ket and delete key, all 3 keys pressed at the same time on the keyboard.

About the keyboard lock? I have no idea, because most laptops have cursor lock only. Correct me if I'm wrong. Hopefully this helps.. Thank you for posting..

After storm, my keyboard is not working . So i use my brother's keyboard and test whether it is still work or not . But it also doesn't work, so whats wrong with my computer ? Can any kind person...

It seems that you may have lost connection to the keyboard inside the machine or it could be the plug itself. Most of the ones i couldnt fix went online and got the on screen keyboard. Its a bit unusual to use but it buys time until u get a new computer or find someone local to check the internal connections.

I'm using a sony vaio Core i7 with Windows 7. While writing something suddenly i found the cursor have moved somewhere else from where i was writing. Can anyone please help?

It could be that your hand accidentally hit the touchpad while you were typing, which would have moved the cursor. I've done this a few times before, so I'm fairly certain that's what happened. The cursor won't move on its own unless someone is controlling it, and it's highly unlikely that you have a trojan or a virus that is doing that.

Hope this helps!

My Asus Eee netbook keyboard seems to "cut and insert" when I am writing sentences. I will start writing and all of a sudden I will notice that it will start typing from wherever the cursor was to begin...

My eee netbook will do that too. it seems that parts of my thumbs or palms tend to hit the touchpad at times clicking the cursor on different parts of the page? could this be happening to you? try disabling the touchpad with the little silver button on the left hand side of the keyboard at the top. If this does not help, you may need to replace the keyboard. It can be ordered from the asus online store.

Hope this helps you!

Keyboard keep taking ma cursor back i ve have made fresh installations but it still wont work i even installed new bios tried new mouse and keybaord but it still wont work.i think acer really is bad

if the cursor is moving by itself off the screen then it is likely that the mouse pad is bad or needs reseated ,
remove the keyboard and re-seat or disconnect the mouse pad.
