How to change a cameral on channel 1 of zmodo system

Make sure you are powering the non-zmodo camera.

Ok.. I'm assuming you have a relatively new NRV system with POE cameras. You can see the video on your smart device you must have the IP addresses correct in your NVR system. Connect from the NVR box to my TV using an HDMI cord. HDMI cord is one cord that attaches to the back of the NVR box where it says HDMI out and it goes to the back of the TV show where it says HDMI in. And then you must go to your TV menu and select HDMI input option. Sure hope this helps

Zmodo has some of the best Customer Service of any company. I have one of their DVR and camera set-ups, and every question I ever had*** was answered over the phone immediately.

(I am not a "schill", nor do I have a financial interest in them other than purchasing their products: I actually own a bunch of their cameras and a DVR unit)

I would recommend simply giving them a call, they will likely answer your questions quickly, thoroughly, and completely.

(at least that was my experience!)

*** I must say that some parts of their Instructions / User Manual are very concise, self-explanatory, and easy to understand, if one has an IQ of 160+ !!! But the phone support is tremendous..

Make sure you have the DVR set to NTSC instead of PAL first. If it is correct then your camera is defective.

You will need to contact Zmodo. It is most likely a corrupt password. You maybe able to access your menu, but wont be able to do anything and will get the "no root" error message. They will verify you are the actual owner via either your registration or a number off your orig invoice, for security reasons. (You could be a crook trying to delete the evidence, its good they check) They will then give you a bypass admin code to put in, then direct you to change your password and you should be all set. I just got done doing this after waiting for an hr with their online LIVE chat, and finally just called and waited the 15 mins for someone to answer. Its a small shop, but, they were friendly, knowledgeable and most important, spoke REAL ENGLISH!! =]) I spoke with Tony and after I got it fixed, he gave me a case number which will allow me not to have to go through all the verification next time around if I give it to him.. so, find your invoice and place that case number on it for future reference and put it in a handy location you wont forget.

Hope this helps the 20 plus ppl I found also asking pretty much the same question. I looked all over the net and I am an IT Professional and I couldn't find an answer.. even on their website. I plan on adding the answer there too as well. Have a GREAT DAY! =])

A blinking HDD light means it is reading/writing; under normal conditions anyway. Just means that it's being accessed, that's all.

Now if your TV screen is also BLANK, then you have the same problem I do... I'm just waiting on a reply. Mine is the Zmodo ZMD-DX-SBN8 but should be similar enough, I think.
