Getting heat...but fan wont shut off.....Maybe a wire in wrong place??? New sequencher just installed...
SOURCE: fan oven element not working
getting a shock just means that live is connected. if no heat, that means that no neutral assuming element is ok. do you have a multimeter so you can check if live and neutral present at element? are you sure old element was faulty as it seems strange that putting in a new element did not cure problem i have a memory that there may be a fan fail stat mounted close to the element. worth a check
SOURCE: Just hooked up outlet. Dryer tumbles, wont heat. Have I wired the outlet wrong?
Hi, Did you put red and black wire to the outer posts? White wire ti center and green to ground screw on cabinet? Dry will run on 120V but needs 240V for heat. Make sure there is 240V to the outlet as well.
Hope this helps. If so, please feel free to rate my answer so that I know how I am doing.

SOURCE: brand new dryer wont heat
depending on which model roper dryer it can be a thermal fuse,high-limit thermostat, cycling switch, burned off wire in control panel, check each side of the heating element to ground and find 125 v.a.c. then on the side of the element that has low or no voltage on it to ground start at the element and back track the components leading to the dead leg on the element till you find 125 vac to ground and replace or repair component or wire, then you should get 240 to 250vac across heating element terminals
