Loud static Noise

After the TV has been on for a while there is a loud static noise - that only goes away after the tv is turned off and left off for about 5 minutes

Is this normal or should I start looking at my warranty paperwork

I just bought it on 01/31/2009

I have the same problem with my 64inch plasma.. bought < 3 years ago.. has happened from the word go... I dont watch tv much so didnt pursue it until now.
mainly ioccurs when using dvd player.. after about 5 minutes a VERY loud static noise starts up... i then fiddle with the a/v cables and after 1-2 minutes it disappears. then half hour later the LOUD static noise returns and stays..

I thought maybe i just need a proper speaker system.. now i'm not so sure....

The audio may be randomly disconnecting or something. I know that when my TV has no signal coming in, that it makes a bunch of loud static.

Loud noise when trying to set to record or to play the noise is like loud static and I have to turn off both the TV and the DVD player to get it to stop the noise  I suspect it is the control

When you hear the static, turn power off and then back on again and it will go away. Some players have been know to do that. It is a problem with the programming. Just turn power off and right back on again and it should be fine.

Vizio makes loud static noise, picture goes fuzzy.

You should check your home wiring and grounding. Also be aware of anything that has recently been turned on when this happens. Anyone using a microvwave, cell phone, or other appliance that might be causing the interference.
