Check and make sure that your monitor is plugged into a power supply that is working properly.

Hi,

Interesting. Ensure that the monitor you are connecting to is powered on and that the power source is secured and working. Furthermore, check to see if the default monitor is recieving or recognising a connection

The monitor is coming on, saying there is no signal being recieved when the cable linking the monitor and screen is in fine working condition, and then turns itself into standby mode. Can this be fixed?

yes it can, the lcd is not communicating with the cpu. check the cpu with a known working screen. check the data cable also, if all not changing anything check the lcd pc board, if not sure about this take it in for repairs. Be careful when handling power circuits!

Lost video signal to monitor (TV)

I had the same problem - Onkyo had me reset the unit by holding down VCR and pushing the power button. Make sure you record your settings before doing this - as the unit will be fully reset. This solved the video problem for me.

"power saving mode"

Have you connected and then power on PC? does this monitor works any other PC? Is old monitor works in your PC? Some models of monitor has menu functin from what type of connector use to recieve data but they also automatically adjast it. Try to find if your model has any. If PC works in others and all connections is all right its better to bring your monitor back to shop.

ACER MONITOR AL2216W recieved 4/22/2k8. It worked fine when I recieved it. Yesterday 4/26/2k8 it lost screen color with the exception of a pale yellow.

good morning

here are some step that may correct this issue
  1. Do you have another pc to test the monitor on to make sure it is not the video card
  2. check the cable going to the pc and to the monitor and make sure they are tight
  3. check the pins on both sides of the cable and make sure none of them are bent they can cause a problem with colors if they are bent

Monitor doesn't work

When you got the pc, you should have been given a starter pack with some CD-ROM's in the pack, one of them should be the drives for the monitor, you might need to use anothermonitor to see the instructions, but the basic graphics card should power the monitor enough to set things up, until then you won't be able to adjust the settings.
