Intel Celeron D 330 2.66G CPU

I am trying to put a intel celeron D 2.66 processor in a ga-8st667 mother board but the machine will not start.Are they compatiable.

hi reason y it wouldn't start is because the 2 is not compatible, what u can do is get a Intel P4 not a celeronD check the socket size and make sure that it correspond with the board that u have. The board that u have uses a 478 socket size so u need to get a processor with the same socket size ok... that should do the trick
