You will need to borrow or buy a DVD-Recorder, either way it's best to follow the manuals instructions on how to connect your camcorder (external device) to the DVD Recorder for Recording to DVD. Most camcorders come with a set of AV (audio/video) Cables for this purpose. On your camcorder you will find a little rubber door that houses the terminals to connect your cables to. Depending on how old your camcorder is you will find a Yellow (video) and a White (audio) and on the newer ones that have stereo capabilities...you will have a Red (audio), all these connections are video and audio Out-Inputs and should be connected to the Video and Audio "In" terminals on the back of the DVD Recorder. Now make sure your battery is fully charged (It's best here to use an AC Adapter for your power supply instead of your battery, which also usually comes with your camcorder if bought new.) and that your VCR-C tape is loaded and completely re-wound. Now if you want to watch this on your TV while you are recording to DVD...you'll need another set of AV Cables that come with a new DVD-Recorder, and hook these cables on the Out-terminals on the back of the DVD- Recorder and the other end of the cables to your TV's Video/Audio-IN terminals on the back of the set. Finally...Set your camcorder switch for Playback, turn on the DVD Recorder, And turn on your TV. Now you can go ahead and record all your VCR-C tapes to DVD! Any other questions? Can you still hook up a DVD & VCR Recorder through Rogers PVR and record to disc anything you have on the PVR memory to a disc to have a hard copy to keep and free up space on PVR memory????

I think you will have difficulties with DVD or Video tapes that have imbedded copy right signas l if you feed the video cable from old device into PVR s input source. You may find the PVR will refuse to record due to copyright . Does the PVR have a USB port you may be able to plug in a 20 Terabytes USB portable drive into it . I am not familiar with the rogers PVR but check its manual to see if it can.
you may be able to convert the DVD or Video Tape into an MPEG -2 or MPEG -4 format and read it on the PVR using a computer.
Copyright law may allow you to convert the type of media (you must own the rights to use original copy) to another format of media (PVR) for your use only. Check if copyright in your country allows this in Australia it is covered under https://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/C2004C01235

How can I transfer my vhs tapes to dvd from the LG RC185?

I think you use the "dubbing" button. I would strongly suggest reading the user manual for the specific step-by-step procedure as this is an integrated unit (see page 39 of the below link "Copying from VCR to DVD") - unfortunately LG's own site chooses no to use PDF and you need to install a plugin, so I suggest you download a PDF copy from doocument.com here: http://doocument.com/pdf/dvd-recorder-video-cassette-recorder-produktinfo-34042.pdf

Connect a dvd-vcr recorder to my tb

you will need an external dvd recorder to record vcr tapes to dvd. Sometimes you will have problems with quality when you do it this way. I have transfered vcr tapes to dvd with a transfer device using the computer and got much better results. If you need the name of the transfer device just get back with me and I will get it for you.

Connect DVD recorder to Video player/recorder- transfer VHStodisc

hook the video output from vcr to dvd input at rear, then hook output from dvd to tv input. note; you can not record protected vcr movies you can only record tv shows from sattelite to vcr or dvd recorder. its best to record straight from sattelite to dvd recorder for picture clarity.

VCR tape playback not good

Check your "tracking" If the tape played fine in the old machine, then tracking is the answer, provided that the new machine records good.

VHS to DVD

I just bought at Best Buy the Samsung DVD Recorder & VCR. You can copy your VHS tapes right to DVD and or hook up an external source into the deck and copy them to DVD.  I find it working well but many of my tapes have tracking issues which is becoming a hurdle for myself.

HELP! I can't figure out how to Connect my Sylvania DVD/VCR Combo to my older TV

Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder. You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
