Thanks for getting back to me in regards to this matter. I have however solved the problem although all the data was lost.
To solve the problem I read somewhere that you have to turn the phone off, then press the flag button, the OK button, the camera button all at once, then while doing that, you also hold down the on/off button for few seconds. The phone re-boots as new. It was my wife's phone and she is not in the habit of backing up her data; this has taught her a good lesson :)
if you have a lot of data on your phone, do a sync. if it synched properly, if it does, probably the flex is damaged or the screen alone. try to press all the buttons on ur pda phone. if they all make a sound (if your sounds for keys are enabled, i hope) your flex is alright. have your LCD changed. try to tap your screen also if it makes a a sound... Hoping to be of help to you.
U must have the right tool 2 open ur o2. Then u can start opening ur o2. Once uve opened up ur o2 u can see the speaker at the top. U can see 2 pin at the speaker, u gently pull the pin upwards but dont pull to hard u might break the pin. When both of the pin is pull up u can close back ur o2 . Then u can test whether theres sound coming out of the speaker. If there is sounds that mean uve succeeded repairing ur o2. Bravo........
