Bought led ultra hd tv 43hk6t74u today. On installing it keeps saying no channels found check antenna.

New virgin box v6 delivered today but could only set the box up by using their test tv as old tv did not have hdmi outlet. They put hdmi cable in box and said all I had to do was plug into new tv. I've plugged in to hdmi1 but no channels found. I have tried both digital aerial & digital cable but both came back same. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: TV not finding Digital Channels from Cable Box

We have Comcast and we plugged the cable straight into our Bravia, searched for Digital Channels and it found 131. We actually get all the HD channels that we had using the box, plus a few more. It's worth a try.

SOURCE: No sound on NON HD channels

I had the exact same problem on a brand new Insignia 26 " LCD with DVD. Comcast tech was able to fix it by changing the Comcast box diagnostics. Here is what he did. Using the Comcast remote with the TV on - press power, cable, menu in that order. A comcast diagnostic srceen will appear. Select Additional HDMI options, then audio options. Change the audio options to L-PCM. Press power again to exit the diagnostics. That will fix it and you get to use the HDMI cable.

SOURCE: Lost ITV channels and C4

I think you need to get Sky because it will give you 100% coverage of all terrestrial channels. You may need to retune the television otherwise just get sky

Are you trying to get over the air channels? IF you are does your TV have the digital tuner on analog? TV went digital and if you have an analog tuner will need either e new TV or converter box.

Problems setting up new Panasonic LED-LCD TV

the TV may require an special antenna for the unit or the unit is set for cable operation
TV units have buttons on the side or near the side where initial settings can be obtained without the remote
remove the antenna cable and see if that indicates an aerial problem If you go to some shops they have a geek on hand that can show you how to fix on a shop demo unit and what you will need

Hooked up a HD converter box. Lost TV

The issue should not be with your TV, I would be with the digital converter box or more than likely with your cable feed from your antenna. If you purchased a cable with connectors already on the wire, maybe the wire is okay. If you installed your own connectors on the cable, if they are twist on connections, you need to be sure that the outer braid makes contact with your connector. Double check your connections to and from the converter box as well to be certain you have not confused the antenna in and the TV out. I hope these tips help.

After a storm my box keeps asking for first time installation but when I do it it says " no channels found check antenna" the antenna is fine as tele works perfect. Is there a way to reset the box

Call manufacture tech support. The storm may have fried it. Don't tell them about the storm because they won't go through all of the troubleshooting with you.

Hi. Just found this site. I have a Samsung LE32B450C4W TV. I am not technical at all and Virgin Media have installed us a V+ HD box today. However, I have now discovered when I turn the TV off and back on...

You should try this way. Unplug the box and replace by DVD player or others with HDMI output and turn/on off to see the TV keeps changing HDMI sources or not. If it is changed, you have to call service to replace the main board. Else, your TV works well.

Lg tv interferes with my virgin media box. channels change on their own, turns on and off, and generally goes mad. not the remote. removed batteries and had new. had new box off virgin and still the same....

I had the same problem so I moved the virgin media box to behind the LG TV. Problem solved as an infra red sent out by the TV on power up doesnt affect the digibox anymore.. ;0)

yes you will. either install an outside antenna or get a good amplified indoor antenna. try your old antenna first, but when your picture freezes or it says something like " weak signal " you will need that new antenna

Get HD Signals but it Says Channels not available

you might have to look for "hidden" hd channels.

most cable companies are broadcasting the local stations unencrypted, so you should be able to receive them and sometimes a few other "basic" hd channels like discovery or tnt.

try googling your cable system, city and hd channels to see if someone has posted a list of channels (eg, 88-1 or 102-1)
