I have a Sony Color Rear Video Projector Model KP-57HW40. Its blue color is not working anymore and noticed some burn smell by the set which controls such blue color.

It may be the CRT drive board which is attached to the bottom of the Blue CRT. I would check that Board for signs of being burnt it may need to be replaced.

Hi,im a technician and i got a problem with a Sony Trinitron Colour television model Kv-T29mn3. I replaced an Str, capacitors & Horizontal Output Transistor. Voltage output its okay but it keeps on...

These sets had alot of problems with bad FBT flyback tranfomers,You might need to change FBT.
Heres another thing they also had Bad Picture Tubes that will blow hori output and you will not know its the Tube untill you replace the FBT.Use a high voltage probe to monitor Voltage coming from the anode button, if you dont have a HVP then disconnect the CRT board and monitor set.

Tv shuts off by itself then flashes a code 8 blinks

Eight blinks means, "High voltage error". The probable cause location listed is "T8005 is faulty (D board). T8005 is the fly-back transformer (FBT). or you can replace the full d-board
You may purchase the D board complete for $185.10

or send in for repair here

if one of the crt is shorted it can also cause this problem.
