Question about Dell Inspiron B120 B130 1300 / Latitude 120L Motherboard - RJ273 - GG0
I was one of the unlucky multitude who ended up with a Dell Inspiron B130 laptop. At this point, I really need to wipe the drive and set it back to where it began. Data has been removed, I have device drivers and I'm all ready to go. The problem is that you can't format the hard drive of a laptop unless it has a battery.
The battery that came with this died in the first year. This machine has always been awful...so slow and difficult. I will not spend money on a new battery. But without it, I can't reformat it.
Is there anything I can do to make this work? Thanks in advance for your help.
It should run with the bad battery in if AC power is connected. Then just run the restore cd. Good Luck
