I messed up the setup for an internet connection. I don't know my password I put in . I'm able to get a strong Wi-Fi signal but can't connect . Is their a way I can fix this ??? Thank you, Bob

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network does not means you will get an Internet connection. That all depends how the Wi-Fi router is attached to the true network by Ethernet, DSL (phoneline), or cable modem.You must contact the network owner or administrator to confim why you cannot get an Internet connection even if the Wi-Fi connection is strong.

How many 'bars' are showing on wi-fi signal strength indicator (presuming you are using wi-fi for internet access)? If the signal strength is low, you could be losing connections that way, or there might be interference on the wi-fi channel that the tablet is using. Try changing channels in your wi-fi setup and see if there is an improvement in the behavior.

About network notifications

Searching for Wi-Fi networks
1. Tap Settings from the applications menu.

Yup its have a wifi signal. But you need a wifi router .like mall they have a free wifi or a computer shop. If you want to open your wifi just 12 click menu-setting-connectivity-WLAN-on your wifi then search.then click the available wifi then if say connected.. You can now internet..

Go into your internet test glade, and search for locatons to connect to, if the adapter id plugged in you should be able to search for wireless signals. Connect to yours or the best connetion, but just know, WEP or WEP2 connections are password guarded.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable.
Then access it with following link.
http://192.168.1.1 or
http://1921.168.0.1

type user name as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"

Then configure your router as WEP.
Then go to wireless and check that wi fi is enabled.

Then go to wi fi security and add WEP key it is your password to connect your wi fi.
Also enable dhcp if you want get ip auto to computers.
configure your wan settings as your internet service provider like dns ip addrses.
Then save settings and restart the router.

Now go on your laptop first turn the wi fi switch on your laptop .
Then check that your wi fi network adapter driver is proeprly installed.Also check in my network places that your wi fi is enabled.
Then double click on wi fi icon and click on "View wi fi networks."
then connect then enter password which you set in router wep key.

you must logon to the NetGear wireless router and setup wireless security. choose a security type usually WEP, type a key phrase or passphrase and voila, you will have to re-connect on your clients by entering the password when you get prompted for it.
