most likely you have a lot of debris in the pump housing. you can remove the lower arm and then the cover from the top of the pump. clean out all the debris. and try again. if it does not drain replace the drain pump.

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If it's still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller. Hi jolanda03,

Remove the Top Panel, fastened by 2 screws at the back, Then remove the right Side Panel, you should see the Drain Pump attached to the sump. To test it, you could attach direct power to the two pins on it (Alternating current, so position of connectors unimportant). If it works, it could be either that it is not receiving power from the PC Board, or the sump is clogged inside (Filter).

You need to replace the drain pump on the dishwasher, the motor most likely has something caught inside and will only open/close so far.
