SOURCE: Wii wont take in CD!

maybe you could get a random disc and try to shove it in. if it goes in and the wii tries to read it then you can probably do it with the real games. but youll need to work out how to pull the first cd out before that...

SOURCE: Disc stuckin wii

look there's no easy way to get that out I had that happen to me on a ps2 and I removed the cover and got it out,but that voids the warranty .There's no way of doing it with out removing the cover so either take it back or remove the rubber grommets and get out a phillips head screw driver or what ever it uses

SOURCE: wii eject button will not work

Well, Recently the same thing happened to me, My bro dropped my WII on the floor and the eject button on it got stuck i was soo mad!!!
I tried loads of ways nothing really hard, just follow this and hope fully the WII will eject:

1.Make sure the WII is stood up properly.
2.Then switch on the WII (As i said early the WII won't eject the CD.
3.Now look near the eject button if it is stuck follow (A) or if not coming out follow (B).
(A1).Right if it is stuck and not coming out then the top bendy bit of the eject button put your nail through it and press it down it should eject but after a while it did not work any more for me :(.
(A2).Now, Disconnect all the Cable's in the WII not TV leave it for a while (and don't smash it again!), After a while approx 5 Min's plug 'em back in, switch on the WII then press eject hopefully that will work :D.
(B1).Now if it does not come out either look inside the drive or WII (I don't suggest that) or just do what i did with A2 hopefully that will work.

Hope your WII works by now and enjoy ejecting cd's from your WII but 1 more thing before you go (DON'T BREAK YOUR WII AGAIN OR YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THIS ALL OVER AGAIN :P AND IT MIGHT NOT EVEN WORK IF SMASH IT TO MANY TIMES!!! SO BE-CAREFUL!!!!

SOURCE: Power Outage & Now Wii Won't Power Up...

Just and addendum to sakkyoku's post "Solution #1"--

I had the exact same problem:
-Brief power outage
-All devices plugged into same outlet functioning properly
-No red standby light on the Wii Console

Instead of just unplugging the power source to the Wii, I had to unplug EVERYTHING (SD cards, sensor bar, A/V cable) from the Wii and let it set for several minutes.

When you plug it back in, ONLY plug in the power source and hopefully (as it did in my case) your Wii console will shine a beautiful red light of relief.

SOURCE: Nintendo Wii AV Cables not work

The AV cable that came with the Nintendo Wii is not designed for high-definition TV (HDTV) or enhanced-definition TV (EDTV) to view 480p progressive output. If you are connecting to a 480p TV, you will need a Wii Component Video Cables (maybe like the Gamestop cable you have).

Hello. i just got a wii like not even a year ago. well it didnt actually fall off of anything it just fell over on its side. and now when you turn it on it doesnt show picture or sound. but the green light...

It sounds like your video card on the Wii has malfunctioned

I would email nintendo directly especially if the wii is less than a year old. They will either repair it or replace it for a new Wii.

However I would not say it fell on its side as they may not replace it :)

My wii after trying to run homebrew channel doesnt have power

You probably just need to reset your Wii's power cable. This happened to a lot of people I know.

Power outage this am. Wii won't even turn on

Usually, after a power outage, a power spike (when the power returns) can disable/blow the fuse in the AC adapter for the Wii.

Try the following steps in this order:

- unplug the Wii's power cord from the wall, and leave it unplugged (from 5 mins. to 5 hours). Then, plug it back into the wall. (Unplugging the power cord from the back of the Wii will not help. You need to unplug the power cord from the wall.)
- This usually helps reset the fuse circuit in the AC adapter, and your Wii should work again.

- open the panel on the AC adapter box in the power cord; since the screws are proprietary, you will need to creatively use existing tools to turn the screws
- check the 3A fuse in that box; if it looks blown, then replace it

- it might be cheaper to replace the AC adapter with another one

- get the unit repaired

- buy a SURGE PROTECTOR power bar, and plug all of your expensive items into it (to prevent this from happening again).

Hope that helps!
