Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer

Frigidaire GLTF2940ES washer won't start

Moved my Frigidaire GLTF2940ES washer to new house, hit a bump so it got jostled around. I hooked it up, and regardless of the cycle I choose, the door locks and there are a couple of clicks but it won't start. Appliance repair guy said the cycle won't start until the drain pump activates, and said I needed a new control board, which I bought and replaced--but same thing happens. I also cleaned out the pump filter in the black baffle (boot). Just a couple bobby pins and a little lint. Do I need to replace the pump? Are there other things I should try first? How can I tell if the pump needs replacing?

Applying some voltage to it should get it to run. You could always otherwise order one from the following website http://www.repairclinic.com/Appliance-Parts?s=t-GLTF2940ES-%3d%3d
The third part down is the drain pump on that link. If replacing it doesn't fix the problem, you can return the part within 30 days. A pretty good deal to those who are having trouble diagnosing the exact problem. It keeps you from wasting money on parts that don't fix the problem. Let me know how this turns out.

Take some wires, hook them onto a 12 volt battery such as a car battery and to the pump and the pump should run a little bit

Filter replacement for frigidaire gltf2940es

Hello - The error code "E20" typically means the water is not draining properly or not pumping out fast enough. Does the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose may be kinked or the drain in the house is clogged. Once you have confirmed and cleaned the hose and issue continues contact a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may possibly have a faulty pump or control board.

This washer is one year old in a new house. the cold water seems to take forever to fill - is this normal???

WEll, maybe not. Disconnect the hose and test flow there. Items to include in your ivestigation are tap washer on hose faucet, INLET screen on machine hook ups...Often the screens plug up with particulate matter....

Do i need to put in shipping bolts to move my washer 600 miles and if so where do they go and what size bolt do i need?

The shipping bolts protect the washer tub from getting bounced around when the washer is moved. The shipping kit should have come with your washer when you purchased it. If you have misplaced it, you can find it here http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-GLTF2940ES-%3d%3di1170681&PartID=1170681
Hope this helps you.

Frigidaire LTF2940ES Hums

Sounds like the belt may be off. Was it moved with the shipping braces out? It may have caused some internar damage. You might check to see if the hum is coming from the door lock area. If the lock is out it won't let drain or spin.
