Set the water level for the wash load
in other words do not use full wash for a part load
next do not use deep rinse
really to save water only wash when there is a full load
save the water to the tub , not down the drain
use that for watering the garden
the second rinse water save to the tub and that is clean enough to use in the first wash next time as it is only rinse water

It will not dispense the fabric softener.

Hi
You'll need to clean the dispenser by removing it. Use white vinegar and spray then spray the dispenser & agitator with it too. Use hot water after a minute and vinegar will wash out the softener. Try using a soft brush to clean it. Try running a cycle with hot water and bleach (use no soap). Avoid using large amount of soap. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Does not fill with water? power is on , filters

Yes, it is normal. There is water in the machine. One of the big draws for this style machine is that they use much less water than top load machines. If you stopped the cycle and opened the door, dug down in the clothes, you would find water. The machine fills a small amount of water (below the level of the door) and tumbles. As the water is absorbed by the clothing, the water level drops, so the machine adds more to maintain the water level. This is basically how the washer figures out how big your clothes load is and how much water that load needs. (Of course most sales persons at the big box stores and Sears have no idea how this works)
If you'd like, try running a cycle with no clothes to see how much water is in the machine. (It's not a lot) Now remember this: Because there is so much less water use than a top load machine, you must cut way way way back on the amount of soap and fabric softener used. Use no more than one tablespoon of HE (High Efficiency) soap (even less if it is 2x or 3x concentrate) and one teaspoon of fabric softener per load

It does not rinse properly, leaving a film on

Pump worn out, using too much soap and depending on where you live there may be a more concentrated amount of minerals in the water. Florida residents are having that problem in spades due to our drought.

Bread Rises Beautifully - then sinks in middle during bake cycle

Sinking in the middle means that there was too much rising for the amount of structure in the bread.
Usual causes:
-too much yeast (reduce 1/2 tsp.)
-too much sugar (reduce 1/2 tsp.)
-not enough salt (increase 1/4 tsp.)
-too much water (reduce 1 tbsp)
Another possible remedy: use "best for bread" flour, it has more gluten, or add gluten separately, 1 tbsp.

Start with reducing amount of water.

Cloudy dishes after wash

We have had a similar problem (suburb of Pittsburgh, Pa.) and it is caused by hard water which is a result of drought conditions. I went to my local hardware store and purchased a product which I put in the dishwasher and ran through regular cycle. Glasses were much better, though as long as we continue with the hard water problem it is only a temporary solution.
