I have a new LCD 25" Hannspree monitor. It worked ok for two days, but now is not working. I turn on the monitor and it displays everything ok but after a few seconds it becomes black. If i turn it off and then i turn it back on it works again for a few seconds. I have tested the monitor with other computer with a differente operating system and i obtain the same results. The computers recognize the monitor in both scenarios. What should i do
I went through a lot of threads trying to come up with the solution to this problem, monitor goes off after a couple of seconds of just hitting the blue power button, and the solution I came to is the power supply within the monitor has gone out! which is common for flat pannel monitors, but I am not saying my situation is the same as yours, if you see different colors when it goes off on you, their is other problems wrong, mine has always been the power supply and I just take the monitor to a laptop repair guy and he charges me 65 flat to repair the issue. instead of going to viewsonic which they want you to send them and pay out of pocket first before they fix your issue. I will say 65 dollars flat and 3 days of not having a monitor is better then going to the ups store and paying 65 to box it and 70 to ship it. I guess look around for an electronics expert in your area and have them take a look at it.

i've got a va1930wm monitor as an external on an Acer Aspire1 running XP. XP won't allow me to set teh monitor at 1440x900. I've tried downloading drivers and nothing seems to work. I'd love to get this monitor to use its native resolution. Any ideas?
