Precautions for moving a projection TV

Before I screw up a perfectly good projection TV, what should I know before moving a Pioneer PRO 100 51'' TV...all 300+ pounds of it. I have this fear of physically tilting it and an aversion to laying it flat to transport. Anything else it is sensitive to?

THX,
Steve

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hello how do i set the convergence manualy on a pioneer elite pro-710hd projection tv i dont have the remote and dont know how to bring the menue up on the tv

You MUST have the remote to perform service operations on the Elites. Look on ebay or do a google search for Pioneer 710 remote.
There is no way to manually do convergence without a remote, and no way to call up the convergence menu.

Pioneer Pro Elite Rear Projection TV with Sudden loud pop then shuts down

You may need the power supply board resoldered as I had the same problem. The guy listed below can do it for you as I shipped mine from Illinois to him in California... Piece of cake getting the board out of the back and it's not too fraigile... Just pack in bubble wrap and it will be fine. My TV is now working great.

BUT DON'T DELAY AS SOONER LATER TV WILL NOT RESTART..

How do i take the screen off to clean the inside of the TV?

On my RCA unit... you have to remove the top. There are screws on both of the sides of the unit, covered by plastic caps that you can pop out to get to the screws. once you loosen the screws, the top can slide off then the screen can slide up and out. Be careful with everything and do not use windex or other chemicals on anything. Just vaccuum carefully and don't move the guts around... and use lint free DRY dusting wipes. Don't scratch or move the reflector screen!!!!!!

Colors are skewed on Pioneer Pro-520HD

you can replace your the convergence chips on the convergence board. The board is to identify because it has a large heat sink. The convergence chips normally starts with STK... After you find the chip, you can buy online (ebay has a lot of listing) and costs around $10. If you know how to solder, it is very easy to do. I just replace the convergence chips on myPRO-610HD and it works perfectly.

PRO 510HD PROBLEMS

if you know anything about the tv, take off the back and remove the power supply board. Reflow or resolder the solder points, takes like 2 hours, but is well worth it as my tv works fine now. make sure to use rosin core solder and good luck
