Get a new cord. If that doesn't fix it then the internals on the Monitor has a burned wire, or a cold solder jiont. the only way to get it fixed is to bring it to a professional.

Have emachines monitor which is not coming on power button fast flicker

Which power button is flickering (your computer, or your monitor).
Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.
Good luck.

Moniter will not stay on, the gateway name comes up an goes away thats all it does.

Try plugging your computer into a different monitor to see if it's a problem with the monitor or the computer, that would be a good place to start. I hope that helps. If it's not flickering make sure that the power cord is in securely and that the button isn't sticking in the monitor.

Flickers continuously

From what I have heard the isn't a great monitor and most say stay away. Sorry for the advice. There is one thing I would try, to increase the Hertz from 60 to at least 70...here is how: right click in an open area on your desktop...a box opens...->PROPERTIES->SETTINGS TAB->ADVANCE->MONITOR TAB-MONITOR SETTINGS there you'll see a drop down arrow->click on it a select 70HERTz ->APPLY-> OK...just for good measure, reboot...that may help..if not try the link below for more help Good luck...

Monitor flicks off

If you have switched monitors and the problem persists, I would first look at your cabling, if you did not use the same cable on both monitors then the drivers would be suspect. Go to your video cards site and update the drivers after checking all your cables and connections, also check that the video card is properly seated on the motherboard (if its not integrated onto the motherboard). An easy way to check the monitors, is to plug them into another computer (EG: laptop) and they should have the same problem there, i doubt they will from the symptoms you are having. also try bypassing the UPS and plug the monitor straight into an extension cord or wall.
Remeber, try this in steps, not all at once, so you can tell what works..

Hope this Helps!

Hp Laptop screen flicker

Hi, i noticed that when I unplugged my HP the screen stopped flickering. I then re-plugged in the power, when to the Nvidia control settings, to PowerMizer, and changed 'ac outlet' to Maximum Power Saving.

Not the world's greatest solution, but hey, working laptop now.

Cheers,
Andy.

Screen blacking in and out

Hi Esdee, Don't be too surprised if the monitor is having problems. The fact that it does the same thing on another PC is pretty good proof that is in fact the monitor. As far as what is going on the green power LED going on and off in conjunction with the blackouts indicates a power problem to me. - Does wiggling the power cords, plugs cause any change? - When the screen blacks out shine a flashlight on the screen and look to see if you can see any faint images. If you do then you have a backlight problem. If none of this works any further troubleshooting really requires some experience working around electronics and high voltage. Let us know how you want to proceed, as as always please don't forget to rate this posting.
