Digital display stopped working electronic timer

Identify timer.
Replace battery.
Do not use battery-operated timer in cold environment... look for temperature range when selecting timer.
Mechanical timers will work in cold temps.
Or buy another timer to replace defective timer

The on/off button quit working. I can't manually turn lights on/off. In wall timer ST01AC

Thank you for including timer model number.
You have almond-colored ST01AC timer that worked before and then stopped working.

The manual override no longer turns lights on-and-off.
Manual override works by pushing in timer door, and also by pushing on-off button on face of timer.
1) Try pushing on-off button directly instead of timer door, in case little plastic point on timer door has worn down. If timer door is worn down, maybe add a few layers of tape so door can push button again.

2) If timer on-off button is not working, then timer may be defective -or- timer CR2 battery needs to be replaced, and then timer reset and reprogrammed.

3) Defective timer: timer has 1 year limited warranty against workmanship defect
http://www.intermatic.com/customer%20service.aspx

4) Replace CR2 battery, reset timer, and reprogram timer and see if functionality is restored.
If timer is not restored, then timer is going bad.
Open following link for illustration of battery replacement, steps for resetting timer, and illustrated re-programming steps.

Timer runs constantly. Runs cycle then shuts off and shortly later restaRTS.

Posted under GE 15069 countdown timer.
Unknown if this is new timer that is wired wrong or if load has interference, or existing timer that stopped working.

If new timer, then check wiring: This timer is for single-pole application only and requires neutral wire.
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15067
Then check for line interference by moving timer to different Load, for example ordinary incandescent light bulb.
Make sure slide switch is set to Timer.
Slide switch works as ordinary on-off switch, so see if slide switch works correctly.

If timer stopped working:
Feel timer if it is warm to touch indicating overload or internal timer short.
Timer is rated for 1/2 HP at 120Volts. Check nameplate on motor for HP.
Check for short in line by temporarily replacing timer with on-off switch, and check wire nut connections.
Move timer to different Load, for example ordinary incandescent light bulb.

If timer has gone bad, then return it to Home Depot and swap for different timer.
If load interference is problem, then buy mechanical spring-type countdown timer like Intermatic FD60

Manual switch works timer doesn't.

Timer that worked before and stopped working: could be clock motor or trippers
New timer installation: possibly the wiring from breaker box and wire to Load are reversed.

I can't seem to get my outdoor Intermatic 7 day 7night timer to work. I've had it a couple of years and use it to turn on and off a water fountain. Hwlp!!

Timer is not identified
Some Intermatic outdoor timers have a battery located in back of timer.
Some have no battery.
Some timers are hardwired, and some are plug-in.
Some are 240V and can stop working if breaker trips off on one leg.
Check that timer has power. If timer plugs in, then try timer on another load and another outlet.
Some timers have trippers and dials, and others are programmable.
Some have no repair parts, others have repair parts.
If timer is programmable, then some have a reset button you can push and possibly restore functionality. Other timers are reset when you remove battery.

1) Add a comment and say what timer you have with description of dial or description of timer buttons. Be sure to open links below to help identify timer.

2) Also include in-focus photo of timer that you posted on Flickr for possible identification, and more help. Some timers have been discontinued, while others are replaced with same model.

3) Open following links to identify timer and/or troubleshoot timer problem, depending on what timer you have.

Hello! I have a 59017 timer, and this is my problem: When I put the timer in Timer option, If I have all the pins in off, the timer run ok, but if I put one Pin in On mode, The timer run ok but when find...

You don't say if this is new timer installation.
Or if timer was working before and suddenly stopped working.

I also own Woods 59017 timer from Home Depot.

1) New timer installation:
Open following link to access manual and read wiring instructions.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59017

2) Old timer that stopped working:
If timer dial does not rotate, then the timer is broken, does not have power, or is wired wrong.
If timer stalls when it gets to a pin, then the clock motor has gotten weak, and is overheated and will stop working.

3) Buy new GE 15070 timer from Home Depot for $18
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15070
4) Buy new Woods 59017 at Amazon for $11 plus shipping

Instructions are not clear. Cannot get the time to work.

Add a comment with clear description of the timer. Say what buttons or dials are on the timer. If timer plugs-in or is in-wall. If timer is indoor or outdoor. Describe the shape of timer, and what timer turns on-and-off. Say if you are having a problem wiring the timer or programming the timer or setting the timer. Tell us if the timer was working before and stopped working, or if this is a new timer. If this is a new timer, then also say what brand and number the timer is.

The timer motor is not working. I have two brand new timers and both do not work power works but the timer part is not working

The timer motor is powered by your supply wiring. Are there 2 white wires coming from the back of the clock portion? They should have been connected to the line and neutral terminals. It seems strange that two new timers don't work.
