It sounds like it could be something as easy as the electrical connection behind the washer not being tight enough. Hope this helps.

I have a LG top loading washer. Cold water will not shut off, making it so washer will not shut off. Water still runs after we unplugged the washer.

Close the cold water valve behind the washer, then try a reset. If that doesnt work, the timer may need to be replaced. Depending on your skill level, you could do it yourself.

To reset the washing machine:
  1. Press POWER to turn the washer off.
  2. Unplug the washer from the power outlet. ...
  3. With the power disabled to the washer, press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.
  4. Plug the washer back in, or turn the circuit breaker back on.

It shut down automatically and won't turn on after that.

The computer/laptop is heated up too much on the same place. You have to wait about 5-10 minutes if it automatically closes, so it it gets cold.

Water not flowing

There could be a few reasons for this problem. It is probably a faulty out of balance micro switch,Located under the main motor controller board in the head section.Bypass the switch to test. The next thing to do would be to check the diaphram in the inlet solonoids.Take off the coils & with pointy nose plyers unscrew the centre of the solonoids and check for purferated diaphrams. If there faulty replace the diaphrams or the complete solonoids.Hope this helps Cheers.

Washing machine shuts off before cycle is finished now it will not last one min. on before it shuts off...what to do?

We have a front-loading LG washer. Today, I took a look at it when it was beginning the spin cycle because it sounded a bit different. I noticed that it was beginning to spin and would stop because [I believe] it was detecting a strong off-balance. It would then try to spin in the opposite direction and the same happened. After two more attempts, it automatically shut off with no warning nor error. We set the washer to wash and spin again and I began to work on balancing it. After adjusting the feet and waiting for the spin cycle again, it continued successfully because of the reduced off-balance. I'm not sure if there are other reasons that would cause the washer to turn off. This is the only one I have come across so far.

hi friend,

First make sure it's not set to automatically shut off. Go to Options...Auto On/Off and make sure Weekday and Weekend are set to Disabled.
Mine doesn't shut off automatically. However, sometimes when I shut the phone and then turn it back on, the mobile network is not on and I have to go to "manage connections" and turn it on. I checked the options and both weekday and weekend are disabled

thank u for using fixya

Hotpoint washer , top load

This sounds like a faulty water valve. Water is coming in the cold water valve when it shouldn't. If the machine has an automatic temp control make sure it is turned off.
