When I power up the projector, it tries to warm up, but eventually the lights on the front go from blue to red and it powers down the projector when this happens.

No warranty on the product. I'll check the door, but lets say thats not it. When I turn it on, two blue lights illuminate, one solid, one flashing. While this is happening, I also hear a faint clicking noise from the inside of the projector that happens once, then again in about 5 seconds. It goes through this cycle two or three times, then the lights turn red, and about a minute after that, it powers down.

Ok, took the shell off and hit it with some compressed air, still nothing. All the fans are working properly, the only thing is still that ticking noise that happens a few seconds after startup. Again, does this a total of 3 times, then powers down. I felt around to try to feel the ticking while hearing it, but nothing.

The projector turns on, one solid blue light, one flashing blue light like normal, the bulb never illuminates at all, and there is a faint and fairly fast ticking from the inside of the projector. After the clicking repeats for a third set, a few seconds later, the lights turn red, and shortly after that, the fans power down. I have taken the projector apart somewhat and blown out all dust that could cause a thermal problem. I have checked the bulb door, and I know it's secure because the projector won't even power up if the door is off, and it does power up.

Most probably like a thermal overload problem. Make sure that it is properly ventilated.

You may need to dismantle it and remove dust or whatever from the fans/heatsinks.

Then try powering it on again.

Hi

If you plan on troubleshooting this yourself, you may want to check the warranty first. The problem with the info given may be caused by the door lamp. It may have been loose and you may need to secure it or it could be faulty.

Replacing the lamp module requires special considerations:
  1. Turn off the projector.
  2. Wait 30 minutes for the projector to cool down and then unplug it.
  3. On the bottom of the projector, loosen the two screws on the lamp cover and then remove the cover.
  4. Loosen the two screws on the lamp module and pull out the module.
  5. Insert the new lamp module and tighten the two screws.
  6. Install the cover and tighten the two screws.
  7. Turn on the projector. If the lamp does not turn on after the warm-up period, try reinstalling the lamp again.
  8. Press enter on the projector or on the remote control to open the on-screen menu.
  9. Press the up (c00589410.gif ) or down (c00589411.gif ) arrow to select Setup and then press the right (c00589412.gif ) arrow.
  10. Press the up (c00589410.gif ) or down (c00589411.gif ) arrow to select Reset lamp hours and then press enter .

My data projector eiki LC-Xb23 goes off without warning and the warning light is flashing

If the power light & warning light both flash red, this indicates that the projector is overheating. Once the projector has cooled down the warning light would continue to flash red and the power light would be solid red.

You should clean the air filters.

The filters are located on the underside. Disconnect all cables and invert. remove the 2 air filters located at the front and rear by pullingthe latches. They are both rectangular in shape.

Being very careful not to damage them, you should rinse the dust out and leave them to dry fully before replacing them in the projector.

This should cure the problem.
