More than likely a lid switch problem,But also make sure that it is on full cycle and not drip dry or sud save.Hope this helps.Cheers.

Probably the timer is hanging. A vinegar rinse won't make any difference.

Machine is not moving through the cycles

Hi,
It sounds like the motor in the timer is bad. This may require replacing the whole timer or just the timer motor in some cases. I hope this helps.

Repeats cycles

this sounds like you have a bad timer. you can get a new one and quite often you can find a place where they sell rebuilt timers for quite a bit less.

GE Washer keeps getting stuck in drain cycle

When you replace the timer before did you tighten up the connectors? and you can figure out your budget I can't $60.00 for a new timer or $1000.00 for a new one. if it lasted for a few years I could find a use for the money elsewhere. But if it has other probems then by all means replace the machine.

Matayg Atlantis Washing Machine gets stuck in the Rinse Cycle and will continue to rinse for hours.

This is the sign of a bad timer. It is not sensing how long it has been in the cycle. The timer is not advancing. Replace the timer.

Gets stuck on timer and wont count down

We had a similar situation with our LG washer. It was not a timer problem.
The machine was not entering the spin cycle and was just stuck in limbo. A sensor or something was not being satisfied and allowing the progression to the next cycle. Our problem had to do with the drain line; it seemed as if it was air locked?? After lowering the drain line height (to reduce the head pressure), and manually draining some water out of the drainage cap (where the strainer is located) onto the floor, the sensor became satisfied and the machine completed its cycles properly.

What told me that it was not a timer issue was the fact that on different wash settings (normal, heavy, quick cycle), the machine timer would get stuck at different countdown points (22mins, 12mins, etc.).

Whirlpool washing machine not completing cycle

Don't gonna be the timer
If your washing machine gets stuck just before the rinse, than its gonna be the lid switch
