This error code means that the WiiU for one reason or another is not able to read the disc. This can mean that the disc is smudged, scratched, or it could even be a dud. If you still have the receipt, I would suggest returning the disc if you're still within the retailer's refund policy.
This is not nessesarily a solve issue, however it worked with mine, I had the same issues when playing games. I would be in the middle of gameplay, and the the error screen would pop up and say that the disc coudnt be read, All I did to fix the issue was open the unit, blow the dust off the disc drive motor and attatched ****, then I used some 3 in one oil on all the motors inside the system. So far it hasnt messed up (FINGERS CROSSED) I hope this helps.....I noticed with my gamecube that it would quit spinning the game, and after I made it past the gameplay loaded in memory it would error out because it needed to spin the disc and load more programing into memory.....if your disc dont spin you are guarenteed a disc read error
It sounds like the disc reader is dirty, it's the little clear circle right under where a disc would go, closest to the back of the unit.
To clean, open disc cover, locate the disc reader, use a dry soft towel or some toilet paper and gently wipe it off, sometimes even a little dust can cause a problem. This should do the trick. If it doesn't, then either the disc is scratched or the Game Cube has something wrong with it.
hope this helps!
if its all games its a drive error, if its only one its the disc, if its a drive error, hopefully youve got warranty, not sure if drives are locked to aconsole i.e. no straight swap from one to another,
take the screws out from the bottom and clean leans with rubbing alcahol and a Q-tip. 1st roll Q-Tip in alc. the gentle clean lens then on dry end of tip dry gentle on lens.
What I do is pop off the front cover find a black gear under DVD drawer and with game loaded move gear all the way to the left which engages drawer disc positioning to proper place for a "read" if I leave my disk partially raised it will scratch the disk!!!
