SOURCE: I need a culligan n8 custom water conditioner

The Culligan N8 Custom and Estate 2 water softener systems are basically the same system. Here are a couple links for N8 manual to reset timer and Est 2 manual for other settings on systems that have "DIP" switches to set gallons settings.

How to. Bypass water conditioner of Culligan Estate 2

At the top of the conditioner, there is a tube running across the back of the head near the water line connections. the tube has push knobs on each end. With the blue knob pushed fully inward (knob up against the barrel of the valve / tube), water is routed through the water conditioner where it is softened. Water may be bypassed around the conditioner by pushing the red knob fully inward. Avoid "slapping" the valve when shifting from one position to another. see manual here:

Why is there water on top of my Mark 50 water softener and just a little on the floor. The water on the top of the machine is right under the control box

There may be water leaking from one of the ports in the valve where solenoid valves are. These valves are also notorious for developing cracks overtime. Run the unit through a manual regeneration and observe the connection where drain line connects and pull the cover off the front too observe if any leaks are coming from around the solenoid valves.

Leak from connection of Culligan under sink water purifier. Who sells replacement parts?

If the leak is coming from the "quick connect" fitting then either the tube is not pushed in all the way or it is loose. There are small "snap rings" that fit between the fitting and housing to hold them tight from John Guest. If the leaking line has a compression fitting they are available at any hardware
This on-line supplier has Culligan filters and John Guest fittings

Proper Disposal of a Culligan Mark 50 Water Treatment Tank?

If you disassemble the valve completely (all metal parts) the valve itself is delrin plastic and is recyclable along with the brine tank. You may be able to scrap the softener tank. You will have to get all the resin and gravel out of it. Just tip it over take the inlet manifold out and drain the resin into a bucket, take the resin to culligan for disposal.

I have had salt in for 3 weeks culligan mark 89 is not recharging

If the unit will recharge then you might have what is called a salt bridge in the tank. The salt is stuck above the water level in the salt tank. Poor a gallon of water over the top of the salt and see if you can then break it up. The salt should go down then.

The brine tank on my Culligan Mark 89 softener is leaking. Where can I get a reasonably priced replacement?

Most Culligan brine tanks have a lifetime warranty.
Check with the dealer for a free replacement tank first before buying one.

To much salt in the water

The final rinse setting may have moved, which will coincide with the salt/brine draw rate...the Culligan units have a funny way of doing exactly that, which, by the way, can generate a lot of revenue for them, if your on a salt route for them to deliver it to you!....I would look up a qualified and TRUSTWORTHY!!! Culligan repair tech, or a service manual to reset this final rinse.
