You can try some Loctite thread locker ( the blue is medium hold) on the bolt threads to prevent the bolt from loosening. You can also place a lock washer under the bolt head to keep it from turning. But, if you're having ongoing problems with this bolt loosening, it may be that the female threads are stripped. I'm not familiar with the engine, but whether the bolt bolts into a bracket or into the alternator itself, you may be able to use a longer bolt and put a nut and lock washer on the end. I've done that , and it works fine.

I have a 03 trailblazer and has a exhust leak check egine light was on bit now if i get to like 30 the check egine flashes

Flashing check engine light is due to a severe misfire in 1 or more of the cylinders. If not diagnosed and repaired quick you will ruin your catalytic converter. There are a few things what can cause this from timing to faulty coils to faulty injectors to electrical ... to name a few.

How to take out an altanator on a 1999 pontiac montana

Instructions
    • Detach the negative battery cable from the battery of the Pontiac Montana with an open end wrench and move the cable so that it is not touching any metal objects.
    • 2Locate the alternator in the front of the engine on the passenger side of the engine compartment. The alternator will be on the top, side of the engine with a belt running to the crankshaft pulley.
    • 3Unfasten the electrical wire connector from the alternator by using a socket wrench to undo the nut and take the electrical wire connector off the terminal.
    • 4Loosen the bolts holding the alternator in place with a socket wrench just enough so that you can move the alternator on the bracket, and take the alternator belt off the pulley. Note: Do not remove the belt from the crankshaft pulley.
    • 5Undo both bolts on the alternator with a socket wrench until you can remove the bolts completely and take the alternator out of the bracket, removing it entirely from the engine compartment.
    • 6Position the new alternator in the bracket and slide the bolts back into place, tightening the bolts with a socket wrench until you can just barely slide the alternator on the bracket.
    • 7Place the alternator belt around the alternator pulley and check the position of the belt around both the crankshaft and alternator pulleys to verify that it is seated properly.
    • 8Place a crow bar between the alternator and engine block and pull back on the alternator with the bar to add tension to the belt.
    • 9Tighten the bolts on the alternator with a socket wrench while you keep the tension on the alternator belt.
    • 10Reattach the electrical wire connector to the alternator terminal by placing the connector and the nut on the terminal and securing with a socket wrench.
    • 11Connect the negative battery cable to the battery of the Pontiac Montana with an open end wrench.

2004 sebring won't start at all

sounds like you might have lost the altanator. Check the battary to see if it is very low, if so it was running of the battery and not the altanator. try charging the battery and see if it will run. If it does, checkthe voltage on the battery. it should be above 13 volts when runnig. If not it is the altanator.

My pcm control box shoring out

Sorry to hear that, $1700. is a lot. You may be close to having it fixed, though. At least you know the PCM is good.
There's still a problem with the speed sensor. I wouldn't call it a shorting problem, I don't think. But the sensor is critical for many operating components.
Level one diagnosis-if that means the short scan and diagnosis, not a full engine running scan, then go back and get the complete procedure. Some systems store speed sensor codes in the ABS(don't know if yours does, but check). Also see if your transmission has a computer to be scanned.
The alternator did start your problems. The mechanic sounds competent. I'd say you need more diagnosing.

I get no response when I turn the key in the ignition switch. If I turn the key in the switch there is nothing

two things would cause this a totally dead battery. or a loss of the ground. headlights are grounded to the body and run directly off of the battery. since your lights dont work this would point to a dead battery.to find out if the battery is bad or if it was caused by the charging system not working. try jumping the car if you can get it started here are a couple of simple ways to check the charging. one with the car running remove the possitive cable from the battery if the car dies the altanator is not charging replace it. if the car stays running the battery most likely has dead cells and wont hold the charge. the other way is to take a bolt or small ferous metal object and on the back of the altanator there is a round cap in the center of the case if the piece of metal your using will stick to that cap then the altanator is producing a charge and the battery is the problem. if no magnetic field is present then the alternator is bad and needs replaced

Removed altanator but cant get it out.

Alternators are held in by 2 bolts, and a fan belt running thru the alternator puller.
The 1st bolts is one the one that allows you to pivot the alternator to take up the slack on the fanbelt. The fanbelt runs from a puller wheel which is spun by the engine.
The 2nd bolt is the one which allows the alternator to pivot on during the adjustment mentioned above.
