My acer aspire ase380 emits a short buzzing sound periodically. it sounds more like a speaker buzz and not really my hard drive , does anyone know what it may be? (Hi-temp warning?possibly?)

no it starts after awhile , and goes off and on randomly. its not a wire rubbing but its hard to tell if it is an electronic buzz or HD malfunction.

Could it possibly be a wire rubbing off a fan inside? ive experienced that before. Does the sound start as soon as you turn on the computer or after a while?

There is a buzzing sound coming from the laptop and i do not know if it is the fan or the hard drive. please help

If the sound you hear is buzzing as you put it, it usually comes from the fan. Turn off your unit and try using a blower and aim it at the exhaust vents. This should clear any obstructions like accumulated dust at the fan blades.

My GPX tv/dvd combo is making an intermitent 'buzzing' sound, anyone know how to fix it?

Is the sound coming from the speakers? (do you hear it with the sound turned off)

Either an audio problem if heard only with sound up or if a buzz with sound off it is a coil or transformer on the circuit board vibrating hard enough to produce the noise.

Both are fixable but require different tactics to resolve.

Hello! I purchased a pair of M- Audio Av 30 speakers years ago and I've noticed that at times they emit an annoying buzzing sound from the subwoofer parts of each speaker. I normally dont notice it because...

LOL. This is a common, easily solveable problem. Remove your cellphone or anything that emits radiation of any sort from the general area. Don't believe me? send a text message while sitting net to your speakers. It does this even if you arent sending a message because your phone sends intermittent signals to the cell tower. the radiation being emitted from the phone does weird things with the magnets inside the speakers.

Buzzing sound in Acer Aspire 5535

I've come across this before and it turned out to be the soundcard driver. See if there's an updated driver on Acer's website.

Strange buzzing can also be caused by a stuck or damaged key. Does pressing ESC help at all?

Unlikely to be the hard drive. They crunch and grind but don't buzz, unless they're completely knackered, when they can give you a three-tone buzz sound and won't spin up at all.

Hope that helps,
Matt

Operating system not found, disk corrupt, strange clicking noise.

Sounds like you have a bad hard drive. Try replacing the hard drive and restoring the operating system.

Subwoofer Emits a Buzzing Tone

The 2200 uF capacitor in the power supply has gone bad and the humming is a 60 Hz from the rectification of AC to 18 vDC.  Either get a new power supply or take apart the power supply and replace the bad cap.

Speakers emitting a buzzing sound too frequently to ignore

There may be some sort of electrical device like a mobile phone or something that is near the base unit of the speakerset... try clearing the space around them.. or else it might be cuz of a loose connection... check n reseat all the cables & hopfully the problem will sort out...
