SOURCE: My Dyson DC07 won't turn on!

you may have a broken belt. Bad news regarding all Dyson's. You can't replace just the belt your self. You have to purchase a new belt assembly which includes the gears. And it wont be cheap. I would call it a design flaw but i am sure that dyson calls it a profit scheme.

My dyson is showing a solid yellow light, it was only running for 5 minutes it is the dyson v6 1 day old

Should continue charging when the vacuum cools down a little.
Solid amber: Not charging, temporary fault
(e.g. too hot/cold).

No power to Dyson pure cool fan

Check the fans cord. There might be damage to it. Try another outlet it could be the outlet the fan is plugged into. If you see no physical problems with fan. I would enter the serial number in dyson support and see if they will replace the fan. Here is dyson's support page to get started. http://www.dyson.com/support.aspx

After operationg for approximately 10 minutes my Dyson vacuum shuts off and wont restart for several hours.

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

Most Dyson vacuums have a built in safety system that stops the machine if it begins to overheat. This usually happens because the filter needs washing or your machine is blocked. If your machine turns off on its own, unplug it and leave it for at least an hour to cool down. Remember to check the filter and look for blockages before re-starting.

I was using the Dyson, turned off to empty tank, will not turn on again, I have checked outlet it is ok. Does it have some kind of safety if it gets to hot. Thanks

hi.
there is a thermal fuse built into the motor of all dysons that will cut the power if the motor gets too hot.
when the motor cools down again, the fuse will normally reset itself.

try the hoover again after a few hours and see if it works again.
also change the fuse in the plug to check that that has not blown

Dyson dc15 just shut off.

Most likely your machine has a blockage, has overheated, and the thermal cutout has operated. This will reset itself when the machine cools, which can take an hour or more. Unfortunately Dysons tend to run hot anyway, so it doesn't take too much restriction of the airflow to cause this problem. Check for obstructions (including filter that may need washing) before anything else. Good luck!

Is there a reset button on the dyson

The short answer: No. The longer answer begins with a question: why do you need to know, what's happened to make you ask? Most Dysons have a built in cut-out system that stops the machine if it gets too hot. This usually happens because the filter needs washing or the machine is blocked. If your machine turns off on its own, unplug it and leave it for at least an hour. The cut-out should reset itself when it's cool enough.  Remember to check the filter and look for blockages before re-starting.  If the cut-out does not reset itself, you may need professional help.
