I have a 1997 60 inch Mitsubishi projection TV. Just yesterday, the picture went black. I still hear sound but no picture. When working, there would be a 1-2 second delay between when the TV was turned on and a click would sound and the picture would appear. Now there is no click and no picture.

If the fuse burned out the the tv would not turn on at all. When the tv is on is the back light still on? If its not its probably the back light that needs changing. If its on then its one of the circuit boards.
Sounds like you have the TV in the "close caption " mode (text), turn off. 2. Check batteries and the mode the remote is in; eg TV, VCR, Cable & ect. Good Luck, big IRISH.
THIS MODEL IS EQUIPPED WITH A KEYBOARD LOCK FEATURE; THIS CAN BE MISTAKEN AS A NO POWER CONDITION. TO UNLOCK THE KEYBOARD PRESS AND HOLD THE "MENU" BUTTON ON THE FRONT PANEL FOR 10 SECONDS
After 11 years???? OMG This set is a tired pup and should be put to reast. My experience with older sets and your complains are all capacitor problems and is only gonna get worse as the first time around repair will take several capacitors to repair. This set has no user serviceable parts inside so you should not attempt a repair suchj as this on your own.. This repair if you decide to go through the first time will be About 300 to 600 bucks the first time and cost will continue to raise till the sets put to sleep. Good luck
