Question about Weber Grilling
We purchased a used Weber grill without any manuals. This model is set up to use disposable propane bottles. When you hook up a bottle and try to light the grill it only lights up like a pilot light by the igniter. After taping on the burner finally the whole burner lights but never more than just small blue flames. There doesn't seem to be any way to increase the flame no mater which way you turn the regulator knob. Do you think that we may need a new regulator or is there some air to gas adjustment that we can adjust.
It sounds like the grill just needs a good cleaning, plus when you do clean it check that the burner tubes and orfaces are free of any debris.
The orface is a tiny hole inside a small brass threaded insert where the gas blows through into the burner tubes, it is very critical that this is clear as well as the burner tubes.
