Question about Dishwashers
On some models (KitchenAid) you lift off the spray arm and then lift the filter up. It is fastened with spring clips. On other models removing the spray arm reveals screws at the top of the filter housing that need to be removed to get the filter up. If you have the manual there will be instructions for removing the filter.

OE in your dishwasher is a
drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked
drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain
is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then
remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump
for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely.
Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the
chopper assembly. If the issue
returns after cleaning then the drain pump assembly should be replaced. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.
