Question about Computers & Internet
I have a dell inspiron 1501 that the touch pad is locked up. I have restarted the computer several times, I can use the ''enter'' to ''start normally'' so I know it is not the keyboard....I have tried fn-F9 several times, I have also taken the battery in & out & tried to start with and without it and still my touchpad doesn't work, the cursor arrow just sits in the middle of the screen.
Check the system setup F2 at start, and ensure the touchpad is enabled, next try an external mouse, see if it works.
If and external mouse works, the touch pad has failed and a new palmrest is needed.
