Kirby G6 clicks while in neutral

My Kirby G6 makes a clicking noise while using it in neutral. I am thinking it is getting hung up between neutral and drive position. Not being familar with Kirby but very mechanically backgrounded I want to fix the problem. Any guidance would be great.

Bracket cam assembly (see and buy HERE). It is worn so it does not disengage gears completely. On the part listing you will also find the instructions on how to replace it.
