SOURCE: advent tv indoor antenna hook up

If the antenna has a cable like cable wire--hook it direct to the cable fitting on the set.

If the antenna uses the flat type wire (called 300 ohm twin wire) use an adapter that will connect to the end and have screws for the flat wires and a cable slide on the other side to slide onto the cable fitting on the rear of the TV

SOURCE: how do i hook up an antenna to a samsung tv model no. cxj1952

If the set only has a coax cable fitting and you have a antenna with flat wire--you need the adapter that takes the flat wire and slides onto the coax fitting.

Once done in the menu you have to set the set to cable and operate the auto program etc.

Do you need a special antenna to hook up a dtv digital to analog

You need a TV antenna, nothing special about it. Hook the antenna up to the converter box, the box up to the TV.

Need to hook up dvd/vcr combo with converter box

Connect your rabbit ears to the Insignia. Connect the Insignia to the antenna input on the "cvd/vcr combo". Now turn on the television to show the "cvd/vcr combo".

The Insignia simply goes between your antenna and your television. In your case you also have a vcr so if you want the VCR to be able to play and record digital stations you will need the Insignia between the vcr and the antenna.

No signal

I had a similar problem. I then noticed that my antenna has a RG6 cable. This is good. My TV requires RG6 and requires TV(RF) cable that is also RG6. Insignia comes with a TV(RF) cable that is RG59! That's a cable with a smaller diameter center connector than RG6. Consequently, when that smaller RG59 was run from the converter box to the TV's larger RG6 female connector, no signal connection was completed since the center connector made no physical contact with the TV's female connector. I found a RG6 cable to replace the RG59 cable supplied with converter box and all worked then. Also, you must force the antenna's RG6 male plug into the smaller RG59 female connector, but it'll make it.
