SOURCE: What is a E-1 code for an ACCU-CHEK meter?

"E-1" in the display means the test strip may be damaged or the code key is incorrect. Remove and reinsert the test strip.

Will accu-check viva strips work in accu-check nano meter?

Slide and release the power button to turn the meter off and eject the used strip. To check blood sugar from a non-fingertip site, place the clear plastic Accu-Chek Softclix Plus cap on the lancing device and press until it clicks. Firmly press the clear cap against the selected site and click the release button.

My accu-check performa blood glucose meter is not working It shows E-1 on the screen. How do i reset it

The E-1 error usually indicates that the test strip is damaged or improperly inserted. Try removing the test strip and replacing it. Try a different test strip. Open a new box of test strips and try using one from the new box.

I hope this helps. You can find the manual for the Accu-Chek Performa on the product page: https://www.accu-chek.com.au/meter-systems/performa . The direct link to the manual is currently https://www.accu-chek.com.au/download/file/fid/16491 . The error messages and trouble-shooting are to the right-hand side of the page. You will need to scroll a bit.

Please tell me what the code E-5 means. It shows up on my accu-chek compact plus meter

The information you need is in the reference guide for your meter.

The reference guide can be downloaded from
https://www.accu-chek.co.uk/gb/products/metersystems/compactplusgt.html > Related Products

if you have the blue/silver front version (and probably also if you have black version) of the meter, E-5 means
"The measurement optics are dirty or you

have inserted a test strip that has already

been used or is too old. Clean the

measurement optics (Chapter 7.1) and

repeat the test with a new Accu-Chek
Active Glucose test strip."

Two different catolog numbered strips

This is probably due to not needing a new code chip with each batch of test strips. You do need to keep your last chip but will no longer need to change it. If possible keep more than 1 spare code chip just in case. I know that the site shows this question was posted in early 2014 but I hope this helps
