Do a reset to this TV, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. SOURCE: No TV "Select Source" Menu Option

Had the same problem and found on the back of the tv on the black box that the cable hooks to there is a plug at the top of that box on the left side came loose. If you slide that box to the right you can completely remove it from the tv. Reinstall it and make sure it's plugged in tight your tv setting should come back.

SOURCE: lost remote on toshiba w528

You can select those to record with out the remote by setting the record timer to record. For example, if you want to record from one of those input channels on Friday 1 January 2009 at 9:00 to 11:00, it will allow you to choose that as an input channel in that program menu. If not, you will want to buy a replacement remote. VC-522 is no longer available, but VC-617 and other models are.

SOURCE: remote wont work and can't acess menu with tv

Turn your Sony Bravia on by pushing either the power button on the front of the TV or the power button on the remote control, which is located in the upper right corner of the remote.

  • 2 Press and hold the "up arrow" button on the remote control. The up arrow button is located in the middle of the remote, to the left of the "Input" button and below the "Picture" button.
  • 3 Press the power button on the TV while still holding down the up arrow button. The TV will turn off and then turn itself back on.
  • 4 Release the up arrow button. Once the TV turns itself back on, it will restore your Sony Bravia to its factory settings.

Changing language on Toshiba 32W24 TV from russian to english

How to Change Toshiba TV Language to English

Since the TV has been set in a foreign language, you might have trouble identifying what's written on your TV. In that case, you might have to take a note of the type and number of keys pressed in the below steps.
    1. On your Toshiba TV's remote, press the Menu button.
    2. Then press the Menu buttons on your remote two times. This will take you to the Settings page.
    3. Press the OK button your remote to confirm your selection.
    4. Now tap the Down button on your remote once to go to the Language menu and press the OK button.
    5. The first option will be the language selection menu and that will be selected by default.
    6. So just use the "Left" or "Right" button on your TV remote to English (or any other language of your choice).
    7. You may now hit the Exit button on your remote to close the Settings option.

How do I do a channel search on a Memorex MLT1912 tv?

First, ensure that the TV is set to the TV (either NTSC (analog) or ATSC (digital)). To do this, press the Source button until this is the highlighted source. (The Source button is the second from the left (as you face the set) on the top of the TV. There is also a source button on the remote above and to the right of the arrow keys.) Next press the Menu button (center of the arrow keys on the remote or the button just to the right of the Source button on the TV). Use the navigation arrows to navigate the menus. The Channel up/down buttons mimic those arrow keys on the remote. Press the Volume Up or right arrow to select an item. Next select Setup and go to Preset. Select this sub-menu and go to Reception. Select the item and then set the mode to TV for over-the-air. Set this to CATV for cable on the antenna RF input. Press Menu repeatedly to go back in the menu system. Return to the Preset section of the Setup menu. Navigate to the Auto Install and select this. Wait for the TV to scan all channels for either NTSC or ATSC depending on the current Source. Exit the menu and change the source to the other TV tuner. Repeat the steps to Auto Install to store channels for both the analog and digital tuners.

The manual is available from ManualsLib here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/101765/Memorex-Mlt1912.html . See pages 5, 16 and 17 (pages 6, 17 and 18 as labeled by ManualsLib) for the screen shots and pictures of the remote control and front panel buttons for these steps.

Since there are only a few low-power NTSC stations still broadcasting, you may not find any stations when you scan for channels with NTSC as the source. Depending on the stations in your area, skipping the Auto Install step for NTSC may be appropriate. I hope this helps.

I hook my antenna to the back and I'm not receiving a picture

    Hi,

I'm assuming your Antenna is connected to your TV with a co-axial cable? If so, please make sure you have run the Analogue/Antenna/Air channel scan correctly:

    1. Switch the TV on
    2. Press the "MENU" button on the Curtis remote supplied with the TV.
    3. Press the RIGHT arrow button five times to highlight the "Channel" menu
    4. Press the "ENTER" button or the DOWN arrow once to open the "Channel" menu

The Air/Cable option should be highlighted.

    5. Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrow buttons to set the "Air/Cable" option to "Air"
    6. Press the DOWN arrow to highlight "Auto Scan"
    7. Press the "ENTER" button or the RIGHT arrow once to start the automatic channel scan.

When the scan has finished, the TV should automatically return to viewing mode. If not, just press the "EXIT" or "MENU" button on the remote to close the menu.

You also need to make sure the correct INPUT/SOURCE is selected on the TV:

    1. Press the "SOURCE" button on the Curtis remote
    2. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to highlight "TV" in the INPUT SOURCE menu
    3. Press the "ENTER" button on the remote to select "TV" and close the INPUT SOURCE menu.

This should be all you need to do to watch your TV from an antenna source.

Please post back if you are still unable to get it to work and need further assistance.

    Regards,
    BElectric

I can't find out how to switch the TV from cable to antena. Where is the switch?

If you have the original remote, it is the "source" button.
If not there, select menu and go to the source option and select "antenna", then press menu again to save & exit.

If no remote, the on the TV, press thge menu button and go to the source submenu and select "antenna".
At this point, you may want to do an automatic channel scan before you exit the screen via the menu button.

    Hope this helps!
