Why do dryer sheets stick to the vent outlet on a Kenmore gas dryer?

The dryer sheets soften during the drying cycle to release the softening material. Air flow through the dryer drum causes the sheets to "glue" themselves to the vent outlet. If you have the dryer disassembled for service, you will find a sticky residue on the back of the vent.

Dryer sheets

Dryer softener sheets are safe for most dryers. Unless your particular model specifies not to use dryer sheets, you may assume it's safe.

Two sets of sheets and the dryer wads the sheets in a ball and takes forever to dry. Then I untangle them and try again and still the same wadding up. Checked with other front loader owners and it...

I have Design a new solution it is the Dwadder.
Dwadder made from HDPE plastic. The Dwadder is the first ever Dryer Device that does dry your sheets and blankets faster! The Dwadder keeps your sheets and blankets from wadding up in the dryer. This will save you Time and Money when drying. Dwadder can cut your drying time up to 30 mins or more. Two sheets or blankets can be strapped to the Dwadder at a time to keep from wadding up in the dryer.
One of the most time-consuming uses of a dryer is drying blankets and sheets. The reason it takes so long is the blanket or sheet can be twisted into a tight wad or ball during the drying cycle. Once this happens the dryer is incapable of drying the center of the wadded blanket or sheet. The solution today is to take the blanket or sheet out of the dryer halfway through the drying cycle and unwad the bundle of sheets or blankets. Then place the blanket or sheet back into the dryer to restart the dryer cycle over and over again until the blanket or sheet is dried. If you forget to unwad the blanket or sheet when you get ready to make the bed, the blanket and or the sheet will be wet.In order to fix this problem, the Dwadder is strapped to the sheet or blanket using a silicone cord before it is placed in the dryer. Once the dryer is started the blanket or sheet will wrap around the Dwadder allowing a space to be in the center of the blanket or sheet. With the space that is created by the Dwadder the center of your blanket and sheet will dry faster and will not roll into a tight ball or cylinder shape. This will help save time drying your sheets and blankets. The device will also prevent wadding of your sheets and blankets so you don't have to unwad your blankets and sheets half way between the drying cycles.
How to Use the Dwadder
Simply pull half of your blanket or sheet out of the washer. Then pull the silicone cord to slide the blanket or sheet between the silicone cord and the Dwadder. Slide the Dwadder to the center of the sheet or blanket then put your blanket or sheet in the dryer with the Dwadder attach to your blanket or sheet. You can use both silicone cords for two small blankets or sheets just don't place 2 blankets or sheet on top of each other or it will take longer to dry. My electric dryer shuts off after about 20 minutes of drying

ok sounds like you are using dryer sheets,,,dryer sheets coat the automatic dry sensors and fool the unit into thinking the clothing is dry,,,,replace the sensor or try to clean it if possable with a green scrubbie,,,,also try the time cycle it dose not use the sensor.......www.myabcspace.com/washerwizzards

Smell after drying

Try drying your clothes without the dryer sheet and see if the smell is still there. If it is not, then the problem is the dryer sheet.
If it is, then you need to describe the smell better. Different people handle smells differently. What smells musty to you may smell fragrant to others.
You need to determine if the smell you don't like is really a musty smell, or is it a fragrance you don't like. Have some friends (not family members) smell the clothes and verify if what you are smelling is musty or fragrant.

It could also be that even though the clothes smell OK out of the washer, that the detergent you are using is the cause.

Is it ok to use fabric softener sheets with the

Use the liquid. The sheets will clog up any exhaust pipe or other parts in the dryer. If you live where you vent through the roof, definitely don't use the fabric sheets.
