I have a Tascam DP-01FX/CD 8trk recorder. Last time I turned int on it flashed up media error code:0, and instructs me to turn the power off.hat needs to be down to fix it. Thanks- Martin Johnson

what the above guest said is exactly what you need to do. Make sure of course there is nothing on your FAT(previously exported songs/masters) because they will be erased. just go to menu->disk->fat reform, then press enter

this happened to my dr-1 what i did is took out the SD card, used a card reader to put all the songs from the music folder onto my laptop, then erased the songs from the card, reinserted it into the Dr-1 and no more error.
hope it helps. tascam doesn't come with a card reader, they use a usb but i've found that a card reader is faster and easier to manage. you can get one anywhere they sell electronics for about $15. cheers
