Just bought mistral aircon Code p2 shows on the lcd screen after shutting down. what's wrong?

I have a manual and it only talks about the error, P1, when the water container is for. Says nothing about P2. The unit will just completely shut off and then the red light is flashing and P2 appears in the window.

P2 means the bottom pan is full, you need to drain the bottom, small valve on the back bottom in the middle Posted on Jul 21, 2010

  My unit runs for about 5 or 10 minutes then shuts down blinks red with the P2 error message. I read what has been said but there is no water built up in my unit. i removed the plug , nothing. it does not run long enough to fill up. any ideas?

The filter that allows the water to get to the pump is clogged. Since the pump can't pump the water into the drain bucket, it fills the bottom pan up, the unit shuts down, and the P2 error code is then displayed. Posted on Jun 29, 2011

It should be near the pump that pumps the water up to the drain bucket. Each model is different, on my Everstar it was located under the housing for the drain bucket. The back and front of the unit needed to be removed, then the housing for the drain bucket needed to be removed. Not that hard, but a lot of screws. Take it out, then clean it with some dish washing detergent.

H00 is code showing the system has no memory of an error so you could try turning the power off for 15 minutes then back on and see how it goes. Power supply fluctuations can sometimes make Panasonic A/C's do funny things. If the fault recurs, you will have to get a tech to diagnose.

If its an LG Portable air con, P2 means that the water tank is full and needs emptying.

Means there is no gas in the system - i.e. it has a leak. Will have to get it looked at by someone with the right equipment to mend the leak, and refill it.

I have the same aircon ....if the red light is not on pull the electricity plug out then press on to use up residual power then plug cord back in and turn on then press down till you get to 18degrees and the red light should turn on

My Mistral was working yesterday (on heat) now it won't. Just sits there as if warming up but actually blows out freezing air - on "sun" mode.

The F8 Fault means that the Temp sensor in the indoor unit that goes into the cooling coil is faulty.

turn the lock off, slide it so it isnt showing red..its right by the power button

You might have the hold button on look at the sides of your mp3 player and if you see any orange then that means the lock is on. slide the hold button down until their is no orange showing and it should work just fine. I also recomend hitting the reset button which is located on the back of the p2
