Have you tried a usb extender/hub. Sometimes this will get it to recognize. Also this laptop has vista correct? If so then that is the start of your issue and we can work from there.also what service pack do you have for vista? There is some known issues with turning on your computer or coming from hibernate and items like this not working.

Check if the wireless receiver is plugged properly. And if the driver was successfully installed.

A wireless mouse comes with a wireless receiver, which should be plugged into the USB port. This wireless receiver is a component that physically connects to your computer and picks up the wireless signals from your wireless mouse.

Let me know if you need further information.

Belkin wireless mouse won't connect on power up of PC

A Belkin Mini Wireless Optical Mouse frees you from the restriction imposed by the limit of the wire that your mouse uses to connect to your computer. The Belkin model works up to three feet away from the receiver and operates on a 27 MHz frequency. It's smaller than a regular mouse, making it easy to add it to a laptop case or desk drawer without losing much space in the process. Before you can use the Belkin Mini Wireless Optical mouse, you must install it. The receiver and the mouse should sync automatically; if they don't, you must perform the sync manually.

1 Press the bottom release tab on the top cover of the mouse. Insert the batteries included in the package and replace the cover.
2 Turn on your computer. Plug the Belkin USB receiver into a USB port on your computer. The drivers will install automatically.
3 Press the sync button on top of the USB receiver and then press the sync button on the bottom of the mouse to connect the two devices.
Warning
  • close Before you can install the Belkin mouse, remove drivers for other wireless mouse types on your computer.

No response from curser when usb is plugged in

Restart the computer using the keyboard "Windows key" and leave the mouse plugged in the USB port. If it has a driver CD, install the software and drivers then restart the computer. Windows Xp should find the new device and make it ready for use. If you are using Windows Vista then you will need to go into your "My Computer" and then "Control Panel" and "Printers and other hardware" and then "Mouse" and click "Troubleshoot" If you are using a Laptop or notebook, disable your touchpad first then plug the USB mouse into port

How can I use wireless keyboard+mouse on one USB port receiver

You probably have to use two different ones because those are two different devices and the computer recognizes them as such. Your best option would have been a wireless keyboard with a built in touchpad (just like on a laptop.) This option allows you to sit the wireless keyboard on your lap without needing a table (for the mouse.) Search ebay using the terms "wireless keyboard" and "touchpad" for the best prices.

It does not work

Try all the usb ports. Also you need to restart the computer for it to detect the mouse often. You don't need drivers for a mouse, so it should just simply plug and play.

How do I connect my mouse to my usb??

Do not connect the mouse receiver to the USB port before installing the CD software program that came with the mouse.
