What problems are you having? There is only one filter on it, and unless you had very low fuel pressure, changing the filter really doesn't do too much.

I have a 96 also and also had that problem #1 get the fule filter replaced.. #2 get some car/injector cleaner in the gas. #3 get some spray for carb and open up the air filter and shoot the cleaner in while running the engine.. You also can change the spark plugs and roter and cap and do a nice tune up and it will run like a new car..
Check the fuel filter, then, if you feel like it's a problem with fuel. It sounds to me, though, like it's probably the EGR (this regulates how the leftover gas vapor gets re-introduced into the gas mix). Check the air filter while you're at it. You might also end up replacing the mass airflow sensor.
to start out with, change any fuel filters you can find. Change the air filter out, too. Once all the filters have been changed out, add a small amount of "SeaFoam" to the fuel, and see if it helps any.
depending one how bad the gas, you may need to drop the tank to replace the filter/sock on the pump.
let start simple first... are you getting fuel at the fuel rail? and try adding a fuel bottles of "dry gas" which is just a water eliminator. Water in the gas is the largest concern of "bad gas"
What you brought is an tank and unit from 1995 JGC. from 1993 till 1995 they have the same fuel pump. 96'er Jeeps start with OBD - Systems and they have other fuel pumps. You can't change the plug ins, because you may have other fuel filter in your Granny. Check filter and fuel lines if they fit with the unit you brought. If not, you need another unit from a real 96'er Jeep
on 2000 grands it will give you a fuel pressure pro blem code when it time to change it,but thats up to you, filter is mounted on chassis near gas tank ,squeeze on white plastic tabs pull hose out,gas will leak out of filter ,unhookother hose ,install new one ,make sure filter is installed in right flow direction
