Tmobile wing

I just got this phone and i have not yet aquired a memory card, so i know things will not run as fast as it would with it. I keep trying to take photos and it says i need to free up memory, but when it shows me how to do so, i look and it shows nothing is running in the programs running list. How can i free up memory when it shows nothing is running?

u have to buy the memory,, or reset the phone
