Re: region

Remove all power from the unit. Let it sit a few minuets. Plug it back into the wall outlet. This should resolve the problem.
Put the dvd into the unit that you were having problems with, and try and play it. If it works - everything is ok. If not - try repeating the process 2 to 3 more times. What is going on here is the Unit automatically assigned a regional list in its memory. Sometimes this happens during an AC power surge (noise) on the line. This can corrupt the macienes internal memory. Bypulling the plug you allow the internal circuitry (typically some capacitors) to discharge. After this the unit will re-set & the error will go away.

How to convert the my jvc dvd player to ntsc to pal or vise versa, coz i used old tv so i need to change it . tnx my jvc model is xv-tha30 dvd cinema system

You have to use an external device to convert NTSC to PAL or vis versa. The device cost between 175 to 250 $. I think you can buy a small new generation multi system TV for that price !!!!.
If you still want to buy click on the below link.

Region free

You can either buy a region free DVD player or you can get software to play the disk back on your PC.

JVC TH-A30 System Problem

Pull the power plug. Let the unit set for 2 to 3 minuets and then plug power back in. Sometimes the memory in the unit get screwed up because of a Power Surgw on the ac power line.
Try this 2 to 3 times and it should automatically re-set itself.

Unplug your system from AC power.
Let it sit for a few minuets (there are capacitors inside of the unit that stores a small amount of power that needs to be discharged, which they will do if the power plug is not connected to the wall outlet). Then plug the unit back into the wall outlet and insert the rental dvd. This should allow the unit to play the dvd now.
