I have an acer notebook running windows 7 and someone has chnaged my user name and password how can i get past it

It is imperative you get that password!

Lost Windows password:

  • Login as Administrator. Try with no password (load safe mode if you don't see Administrator). Press F8 during boot to access Safe Mode. XP only.
  • Login as other user (if other user is available) and manage users. Must be an administrator.
  • Reformat computer.
  • Use 3rd party software to remove password. Like
  • Free software option would be Hirens Boot CD. This one is command prompt only. Must follow instruction exactly.

It will not let me try to open files, delete files, open programs or delete them. It does not accept me as the Administrator even though I am and it is password protected. I can't download files...

Can you go to Control Panel and verify that you are an Administrator? Try creating a new account.

To make and add a local admin as Guest! Save as batch file in startup group. Copy syntex and paste into Notepad. Save as Admin.bat. Go to Start > All Programs > Startup. Right click and save in Startup folder. Reboot. You now have an Administrator account. Login as Nadmin. No password required.
Go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts to make user changes.

@echo off
net user Nadmin /add /expires:never /passwordreq:no
net localgroup "Administrators" /add Nadmin

Login windows 7 embedded administrator

If you forgot the password of the system, the official answer is NO, there is no way to get the password back. However, if you have another user account who has Administrator rights, such as Domain Admin account if the computer joins domain, you may try to use this user account to login to the computer and then reset the local administrator password. If no, you have to reinstall the system.
I don't think you wanted to here this but that is why the admin account is protected. So no one can get into it...

Eee pc hard drive lock

Asus Eee PCs run on the Windows XP SP2 operating system. Accounts in Windows XP SP2 can easily be password-protected, but the same password can just as easily be forgotten.

At moments like this, you'll wish you had chosen a password that is both secure and easy to remember, or kept a record of it in a private place.

The quickest way to get back on the computer is to seek out someone with an administrator account on the computer.

Press "Control" + "Alt" + "Delete" at the same time on the locked screen.

Select "Switch User."

Remember, only an administrator account registered on this computer can unlock the computer.

Type in "administrator" in the user name box.

Type the password that corresponds to the administrator user name in the password box .

Click "OK." The Asus Eee PC is unlocked.

Hope this helps

This computer system fdh87k1-595b is protected by a password authentication system you cannot assess the data on this computer without the correct password. please type in the system or administrator...

This means, the data your trying to access is restricted, you should know the computer administrator password or if your are the user with administrator rights, just provide the password, it will open.

Can the administrator of the computer that I use, get access to my password and look at my email?

Yes. The administrator or any user with administrator rights can get access to your accounts and look at your email or data files (you could password protect each data file for security).

I need help getting past my windows account user password. please help!

If it is asking for a password, then you will have to enter the password. Othewise, you won't get past it.
If you have Windows XP, you can start in safe mode and log on as administrator--chances are it's not password protected. Most people forget to put a password on it. Then you can change or remove your password.

User password

"is btheir anyway i can reset or override the password" ... Absolutely yes. He has nothing over you because you do NOT NEED him to provide it to you. However, depending upon your exact situation, you'll probably be left with relying on method 3 (below). If so, you'll need the use of another computer with 1) internet access, and 2) CD burning capability. Additionally, depending upon how much you know about computers, you may need the assistance of someone with simply a fair amount of general computer user skills.

I'll presume you mean Windows password. If that is the case, you are then currently able to boot the laptop until it reaches a Windows welcome/login point. If so, read on...

It may help to understand the distinction of the word "administrator". There is:

  1. The ACCOUNT which is named "Administrator" (unless it has been subsequently renamed since initial install).
  2. The WORD "administrator" as it relates to the TYPE OF PRIVILEGES (aka credentials) a user may be assigned. These privileges are akin to a master key granting FULL access to your operating system.

If you're lucky (for this situation only I mean), there has never been a password assigned to the 'Administrator' account (applies to Windows XP only).

If the "Administrator" account is not shown at your Windows Welcome Screen:
  1. Depress and hold down, then release (in sequence) the keys 'Ctrl'+'Alt'+'Del' two times (or more if a sequence isn't recognized successfully).
  2. A "Log On to Windows" dialog will display. Type "Administrator" (without quotes), leave the password field blank, and then hit Enter.
  1. Login to Windows as any user (with known password) that has administrator privileges.
  2. Start > Run ... > type "control userpasswords2" (without quotes), then "OK".
  3. Select the user account you can't remember the password to, then click "Reset Password".
  4. Type a new password in "New password" and "Confirm new password", then "OK".
NOTE: You may (you shouldn't, but you may) also have a user account that's NOT password protected AND has administrator privileges.

If methods 1 and 2 are not successful, you're then left with the big gun: "Ultimate Boot CD for Windows" (UBCD4Win). It's a FREEWARE multi-functional recovery boot disk. One of its MANY included utilities is "Sala Password Renew". With it, you can create a new local user with administrator privileges. You can then successfully use method 2 to reset the "Administrator" account. Go to this website and follow the guidance found there. There are other FREEWARE all-purpose recovery boot disk available (TRK-Trinity Rescue Kit, UBCD, etc.), but in my opinion, UBCD4Win is your best choice.

NOTE: If compelled to use this method, look upon it as a blessing in disguise. It's an invaluable tool you'll likely be relieved to have many times over in the future. In fact, you should strongly consider it even if you don't NEED it "this time". After all, the time to have this disk is BEFORE you need it.

Good luck, and please post back and let me know how things turn out, or if you have any further questions.

Unlock a 450rog computer

Basically, at Windows XP Welcome Screen, simply press Ctrl-Alt-Del keys sequence together twice, and you will be shown a Log On to Windows menu which you can specify User Name and Password. In the User Name text box, key in “Administrator” (without quote) and leave the Password field blank. Then press Enter or click on OK. If there is not password protects the Administrator account, or blank password is set, then you will be able to access the Windows with full administrative privileges as Administrator.
