Question about Cub Cadet Street Sign- tractor lawn riding mower parts

I have an early 90's cub cadet rider and it was over filled with oil. Now it smokes and blows oil out the exhaust. Could over filling it cause this? If not are there any common causes of blowing oil

Yes, over filling can cause this. The fix for this is to put the oil level back to normal, and run your machine normally, until the oil residue burns back off. Some "side effects" may be fouling spark plugs and occasionally residue build up in the muffler, so, keep this in mind. Normally, though, everything goes back to normal. It's better to run the machine for a while than starting and stopping it, to allow the machine to get up to operating temperature and clean out the exhaust system.

My friend had a White tractor that was blowing oil out the exhaust and smoking. I replaced the valves and it runs like a champ.

Why is my cub cadet xt1 blowing black smoke cleaned air filter made sure oil level is correct.still blows black smoke

Make sure that at full throttle the chock is not being used. Black smoke coming out of the exhaust of gasoline engine is a sign of a rich fuel mixture (too much fuel, not enough air). A brief puff of black smoke may be visible during hard acceleration when the fuel mixture goes momentarily rich, but under normal running conditions and idling the exhaust should be transparent. If black smoke is visible all the time and the inside of the muffler is coated with heavy black carbon deposits, it would tell you the engine has a rich fuel condition.
On engine, a rich fuel condition and black smoke can be caused by a stuck or maladjusted choke, a leaky metal or hollow plastic float inside the carburetor fuel bowl, or a fuel saturated foam plastic float, or an incorrectly adjusted float (set too low). A trestricted fuel filter may also contribute to a rich fuel mixture.

Cub cadet rider, white smoke, oil on spark plugs........help!!

Not to panic... the oil should burn off. It will just be a little embarrassing to have all that smell and white smoke until it does! However, the real question is, how did oil get on the spark plugs in the first place? If you spilled some oil on it, don't worry. If you left the oil filler open, make sure you check your oil level and close it. If you overfilled the oil level in your mower, drain some of the oil out.

CARBURETOR LEAKING OIL AND SMOKING

IT is likely that the carb is leaking fuel and filling the crankcase with fuel. Causing excessive crankcase pressure forcing oil into airbox through the crankcase vent. Check your crankcase for fuel and/ or being overfilled. If fuel is present fix the carb first, then drain and refill crankcase. After all is fixed run the unit outside for a few minutes and let it burn off excess smoke.

Blowing white smoke

Either the valve in the breather is not working properley and causing a pressure rather than a vacume in the crankcase, or the piron rings or cylinder bore are worn.

When i start the lt1042 cub cadet riding mower it smokes from the exhaust and oil is in the carb

sounds like the needle valve inside the carb has failed dumping gas into the crankcase and into the cylinder this overfills the oil and dumps it change the valve and seat change the oil a couple times add a fuel line shut off and run the carb out of gas when your done using it the newer fuel we get melts the rubber seal

My Cub Cadet oil light was on it read 100 hours

Yes, you overfilled it with oil. Drain the oil and fill to the correct level. If you are not sure how much to put in, add small amounts until the dipstick shows a full reading.

Lots of smoke coming out of Cub Cadet 2146 muffler

Check the dip stick to see if you over filled it.. You shouldn't have oil above the top line... If you did over fill it remove the dip stick and tilt the mower to the exhaust side to drain on the excess oil out of the dip stick tube...

If it's not over filled with oil the engine more then likely shot and it's time for a new mower..
