Take a look at your ignitor. If you have recently replaced the oven safety valve yu might have to adjust the orifice below the burner. They do not come preset. Here is the actual system you have and the reasoning behind replacement of that ignitor. If you have a clamp-on type ammeter, that ignitor ought to draw 3.5 amps or more so that it can open the gas safety feature located deep within the valve itself. That feature is a bi-metal flap which bends and allows the gas to flow to that burner. If you do not have a fancy amp meter you can take a look at the ignitor itself and tell. If it is too bright to look at then it is probably ok, however if it is real dim orange then it is weak, bad, kaput. Replace it.

My Maytag Gas Oven MGR5750ADW preheats on certain temperatures and not others. For example it wont preheat at 350 degrees but will preheat at 380 degrees. At 350 we smell gas.

What you have is an ignition problem get this corrected before you experience a delayed ignition, the hot surface ignitor pulls enough amps 3-3.4 to power up and open the gas valve but ignition did not take place reason you smell gas don't know how old unit is ignitor may be weak good on draws 3-3.5 amps burner ports may be dirty or the bracket that the ignitor mounts too may have bowed away from the burner

KitchenAid gas range superba not reaching/registering right temp.

Always preheat your oven and let it cycle at least 2 times. Your unit may show 350 but the manufactures know that it is not 350. When it registers preheated, it really means that it is at an acceptable temperature to start cooking. If you think that it may not be calibrated correctly, your owner's manual will have instructions on how to recalibrate your oven. You will be able to raise or lower the temperature by + 25 degrees or - 25 degrees. As far as the gas smell, you will from time to time smell a gas smell with a gas oven especially if you are right at it when it ignites. If you are smelling gas when it is not in use then you should be extremely concerned.

Magic chef gas range; oven takes about an hour or so to preheat.

most common issue, and it sounds like what your experiencing here, is a faulty ignitor, replace the bake ignitor ( located under teh oven floor, attached to the burner bar)

Hello , sounds like the electronic ignitor has went out , they are not difficult to replace if your willing , the part is around fifty dollars and it should only take about a half hour to replace. please let me know if you have any other questions.

Oven takes a long time to preheat

You don't list a full model number or how old this range is, or how long / how often you have this problem, but generally it sounds like the oven ignitor is not quite drawing enough amps to allow the gas valve to open regularly. It could be a low voltage related issue, but most likely is a failing oven ignitor. ( WB2X9154)

Oven takes up to 25 min. to preheat

I would suggest looking at how long before the bake burner ignites. If taking longer than 5 minutes before it ignites, then you are looking at a possible bad ignitor. The ignitors just don't last more than 5 yrs with regular use.

Before we go into diagnosis mode, call the customer service # in the owners manual and complain about the problem.  They usually will make a concession when it is this close to the warranty period.  Let me know what you find out.

Oven takes a very long time to heat.

Do your burners work ok when the oven is on? if not you may have low supply pressure to your range or the regulator may be limiting the gas flow. Also, I have a wolf gas range and it takes 30 minutes to heat to 350 as well, haven't timed it to 400. Has it always taken that long? Another thing to check is the door seal. If its not sealing it could cause a long preheat. If the door seal is smashed flat and/or not soft it needs replaced. Hope this helps.
