Question about Sony FWD50PX2/S 50 in. Plasma Television
I have read where other consumers have had problems with the same model Sony 50" monitor that I have. I read on comment by a consumer where the problem can usually be fixed by replacing a part. Can you tell me what part he is referring to.
When you go to turn the monitor on, the on button turns green and you hear a clicking sound in the middle of the monitor. This goes on for about 30 seconds and then the on button turns red.
I live in Morris County NJ. I purchased the monitor in Dec 2005. I do not have the receipt for the purchase.
Same problem - my warranty is for two years, so Sony repair is coming out to fix it. Last time it made the clicking noise they had to replace the main power supply board. The problem this time might be something else. Check your warranty paper to see if you too have a two year warranty (on-site) and check the sony web pages for a sony repair center near you.
