I had the same problem, I also noticed when I used the FN key the display didn't as well. First download new drivers for the HotKey Device, if you have old drivers on you laptop delete them when you try to re-install it always seem to go to those first. Uninstall the drivers for the HotKey Device and then re-install the drivers. Once complete restart your computer. Run HKeyapp, when I finished my FN key functioned normally again and my speakers were working..Hope this helps

I have intalled skype on my CF-52 Model . I can clearly hear the person i am callin, but the person i am calling can not here me. What drivers am I missing?

Most Panasonic ToughBook Models do NOT have a
built-in microphone. There is usually a microphone jack
located on the left side (The headphone jack is on the right).
On some PC's this is a "pink" connector. Headphone is green.
Simply purchase an external microphone even at a local
"Dollar" Store and it will work. You do not need to spend
$30-$40 on a fancy microphone, the cheap one works just as well.

Why is the cf 52 not installed with a mic

Panasonic Toughbooks before 2009 did not have a
WEBCAM installed, it was not even an option.
Since there was no webcam, there was no built-in
microphone. However, all Panasonic Toughbooks
built since the year 2001 have both a headphone or
speaker OUT as well as a MICROPHONE IN port.
So simply pickup an external microphone at your
local dollar store and this will solve your problem.
A little JOKE: At least nobody can spy on you. LOL
Good Luck!

Im using Toughbook CF53 and all of a sudden it is not working. I checked all the properties thru control panel and Fn + F4 keys everything looks fine. What could be the problem and can i get help how

I had a similar situation with my CF-53. Oddly, the speakers would not work, but headphones plugged into the port on the front of the laptop would. Could you verify that you get audio through the headphone port, please?

Swapped out hdd cf-52 nothing happening

When you swapped out the Hard Disk Drive
of the Panasonic Toughbook CF52 it is very
importatnt that you did not "hot" swap the HDD
but that you turned off the unit with a full shutdown
and unplugged it as well.

Once you removed the Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
I am assuming that you replaced the drive with
another drive that had a proper operating system
already installed. If not, then of course nothing
happened since you replaced the HDD with a blank
or unformatted HDD.

One way to verify if the replacement Hard Drive
is recognized by the Toughbook is to go into
the BIOS by pressing the F2 function key and
checking the size or capacity of the replacement
Hard Disk Drive. If it shows the proper value,
then the HDD is recognized at the Hardware Level.

If it shows HDD as None or Zero then the replacement
HDD is NOT recognized and you have to try a different
drive which is functional.

Good Luck!
